Congratulations to Max Parrott – Winner of the Randy Schuchard Midget Division Most Valuable Goaltender Award
Congratulations
to Max Parrott who was the winner of the Randy Schuchard Midget Division Most
Valuable Goaltender Award! Max played in
three games, and was credited with three wins in the tournament against
Lasalle, and Riverside in round robin play, and Tecumseh TNT Tornados in the
finals. Max had a 1.00 goal against average for the tournament with a .958 save
percentage! Max truly stood on his head
in the final game giving the team a chance to get on the board first and stay
in the lead. Max made a TSN turning
point save when Waterloo was winning 3 to 1 late in the second shutting down a
2 on 0 chance by TNT. Way to go Max!
The Randy Schuchard Midget Most Valuable Goaltender award has been presented annually at the tournament since 2003. The award was created to honour Randy Schuchard, a former Riverside Minor Hockey Association coach who had a soft spot for goaltenders. In honour of Randy’s memory, Max Parrott will be named for midget for this year, and it will remain on permanent display at the WFCU Centre in Windsor.
