Great First Game
Shark Attack!
Great first game for the Sharks.
We had no practises, brand new team, and I was very impressed.
For all you parents watching in the stands, all the players were double shifted for the whole game.
What a treat. I know when I was playing hockey, if I got double shifted, I thought I died and went to heaven.
That is tiring though and for the first game the team did fantastic.
They kept on playing and came from behind to tie it up in the third.
I told Troy on the bench after he put the puck into the open net, That I could have scored that goal with a broken leg. But to be in the right place at the right time, that is the trick.
The heads up pass across from Will was a thing of beauty. Sargis got an assist on the play as well.
Murtaza, you will notice, never gives up on the puck and he was rewarded with two goals today. Way to go Murtaza.
Sadiq was solid in net and the Great Shark Defence was very tight.
Watch for the Shark D to get stronger and stronger as the year progresses - and after the performance today, that is saying something.
