January 23 at St. Catharine’s
On
January 23 the Ice Wolves traveled to Seymour Hannah arena to face the St.
Catherine’s Hurricanes.
Despite constant pressure in the first period, Waterloo could not score. This was looking like a goaltending duel, as the game went into the third tied at zero. Unfortunately, the Hurricanes were able to pot 2 in the final frame as the Wolves could not trouble the Official Scorer. St. Catharine’s made the score 3-0 in the final minute with goaltender Aidan T on the bench for an extra attacker. In this game Matt S. was an absolute monster on the penalty kill. Brett M. and Riley H. were solid on defense and Aidan T. allowed 2 goals on 26 shots, stopping 2 break-aways.
