March 01 vs. Hamilton Hub Spitfires
Hamilton made the trek to the Twin Cities to face off against our Ice Wolves at the Rec Complex on Saturday afternoon.

Against a depleted Spitfires squadron, Waterloo unleashed their most explosive offensive outburst of the season.  The team played exceptionally well, keeping Hamilton chances to a minimum, moving the puck and setting up numerous pretty plays.

Matt S. opened the scoring on a feed from Jack M and Alex V.

Alex V. was the next to strike as Cole S. sent him in all alone.

Will C. closed out the first with a laser snipe set up by Jack M. and Matt S., then opened the second with a magnificent deke on an unassisted play.

In the third frame, Alex V. tallied his second, thanks to the efforts of Jack M. and Mitch C.

Mitch C. then caught the Spitfires off guard, breaking in all alone and burying the biscuit.

With 38 ticks left on the clock, Alex V. completed his hat trick - unassisted.

In the nets, Aidan T. had the best seat in the house, benefitting from smothering defensive zone coverage to record the win.  The Spitfires did manage to convert on 2 power plays.

In a game chock full of excellent performances:

Will H. and Michael B. were everywhere – digging out pucks and making plays!

Joseph B. and Braydin F. were flawless in retrieving and moving the puck.

But by virtue of his hat trick, Alex V. had to be the monster of this game.
