Way to go boys. I talked about passing and support during the practice and the team really demonstrated they got it in this game.
Mack (purple Goalie) played a very good game. He made several tremendous saves on great Shark plays.
Trent got the golden moment for one of those great plays, a perfect pass to Murtaza in front of the net.
Great positioning, great pass --- and a great save.
Murtaza also had a Great pass to Jack who one timed it into the net passed a stellar goalie
I thought that game was the best all around game the Sharks played this season
The purple team had some terrific speed up the wing and the Shark D played this very well.
There was only one clear cut breakaway and Sadiq made the save.
Sadiq once again was solid in net.
Ice Time
We had our full team out for the first time in a while. This game I went with 6 wingers. That means 6 boys get triple shifted (wingers) and 6 boys get double shifted(defense and centre)
The next time we play with a full team we will play with 6 defense men. The center men will play defense. This will allow the six wingers to be double shifted and the defense to be triple shifted and ultimately even out the ice time for all.
This is a little chaotic for the positioning but equal ice time is more important for now.
Also, so far it is rare to have the full team so it has not been a big issue.
Update
Next weekend I will not be there for practice. I have my own hockey tournament to go to in Guelph. Tim will run the practice. We will need all hands on deck for the practice.
Hockey Day in Rangers Nation
On Sunday we have Hockey Day in Rangers Nation. This will be a fun day. Sharks Are on the ice at 9:30(or earlier). Event rules say we need to be dressed and ready 10 minutes prior. They may be ahead of schedule so we need to be ready to play.
