The two goalies, Sadiq and Anden played very well and both deserved the win. Any time the goalies can hold the other team to one goal you know it was a superb effort. It seems fitting that the teams will split the two points.
Sharks’ School
The boys are really coming together as a team.
The positional play is coming along and the passing is starting to happen.
The Golden Moment went to Alexander this week. He played a very good positional game.
I am trying to get across to the boys the concept of support – following the play and getting in a good position for a pass.
This encourages defensive play with the opportunity to get involved with the rush.
Alexander did this very well this game.
As a defender, you always have to be aware of your defensive responsibility.
In a support position, if the forward loses the puck, as a defense man you have to decide,
“I am going to take the puck and go!”
Or
“Oh, oh we lost the puck I have to stay back”
This is hard to do and I thought Alexander used excellent judgment.
He got some great chances but did not sacrifice good defense to do it.
Will played an amazing game and got our only goal – off the post and in. It will take a great shot like that to beat the goalies in our league this year.

Christmas Tournament
It seems like along way but it will be here before you know it.
The tournament will be Dec. 27th-29th with semi-finals and finals being played on the 30th. The skills competition is scheduled for January 31st
Please keep this in mind as you make your holiday plans.
