After a VERY SLOW start in the first period which saw the Rangers jump to an early 2 - 0 lead, out shooting the Wolves 10 billion to 0, the Wolves buckled down and pulled it together in the 2nd and third and fought back.

The Rangers managed to pull ahead 3 - 0 mid way through the 2nd before the Wolves offense started to click and managed to pocket 2 goals.

The sun was shining as the Wolves were within 1 with a man advantage and 1:40 left to play in the 3rd.



But alas, the hockey gods did not smile on Waterloo that evening as rules dictate a 1 goal difference AND UNDER 1 minute to play to avoid a curfew.

The buzzer ended with a 3 - 2 Rangers score and the Wolves knowing that any early lapses are fatal.
