Submitted By Rob Hall on Sat 04 13, 13
With a hard working, gutsy, come from behind 4 - 2 victory over Fort Erie, the Wolves ended the round robin with 2 wins and 1 loss....4 points.

And then....the unthinkable happened.......Brantford tied Chedoke and Lawfield beat Cambridge!

With two other teams at 4 points, the 3 way tie breaker fell to the rules;

The first tie breaker was number of wins.

The Wolves had 2 and so did Lawfield.

The tournament favorites, Chedoke, with 1 win and 2 ties, were eliminated.

With the Wolves and Lawfield tied at 4 points with 2 wins each, the next tie breaker came to the;

Goals For Divided by The Total Goals Ratio, with the higher score earning the covenanted 4th and final play down position into the Alliance Semi-Final on Sunday!

Lawfield had 10 goals for and 6 against for a ratio of 10 / 16 or 0.625

The Wolves had 10 goals for and 5 against for a ratio of 10 / 15 or 0.667!!

With a margin of 0.042, or 1 goal, the Wolves advance to the Alliance semi-finals!!!

Great job guys!!

As we mentioned, every goal counts and this 1 goal margin of victory proves it.

Well deserved, well earned!!!

Go Wolves Go!!
