Volunteers Needed!
Have you ever been in the stands and wished you were behind the bench or had some great ideas on drills that could be run in a practice. Than please volunteer to be a Coach or Trainer in the Major Atom House League!
Every team needs a Coach, Assistant and a Trainer (plus on ice helpers for practices)!
We currently still need one Head Coach and a number of Assistants and Trainers. This is a very rewarding experience as John and I have coached for over 5 years now. The volunteers are an integral part of a successful season for the players.
If you have ever thought that you would love to be behind the bench and on the ice during practices this is a great opportunity.
John and myself will be at all the evals this weekend. Please stop by and talk to us if you have any questions.
To help on the ice you NEED to have :
1. Police background check (known as a police records check or PRC)
WMH will reimburse the cost of getting this done.
Get it done NOW it takes a couple weeks.
If you don't have one in September you will NOT be allowed to coach or help on the ice.

2. Respect in Sport
Again WMH will reimburse the of getting this done.

5. Coaching Development Level 1
Again WMH will reimburse the cost of getting this done
When: RIM Sports Complex 2001 University Avenue Waterloo 08/24/2013-08/25/2013
Its a 2 day course where they give you tools to coach, DVDs binders with Hockey Canada drills.
On day 2 you get do some drills for kids in your age group.

Goalie equipment will be provided for kids interested in playing goalie for the season, so bring your child out and see if being a goalie is something they want to do.
Also throughout the season there will be monthly goalie only practices to help kids improve quickly.
