Is your child trying out for a representative team this season?
Here’s everything you need to know to feel confident and prepared throughout the process!
Step 1: Register and Pay for Tryouts
Before hitting the ice, all players must be registered and paid for tryouts. This is your first step and ensures your child is officially on the list for evaluations. To access the tryout registration portal, CLICK HERE.
π‘ Tip: This is the link to the HCR/Spordle set that you use to register your player for the regular season so the process should look/feel familiar!
Step 2: Arrive at Your Scheduled Tryout Time
Tryouts are scheduled by age group & division, so be sure to check the schedule carefully. Players must arrive on time, dressed and ready to go!
πView the Tryout Schedule Here
π§ Please arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow for check-in.
Step 3: Participate in Tryouts
This is the time for your player to show their skills! Coaches will be evaluating skating, hockey sense, work ethic, and more.
π£ Coaches will be using their team websites to post tryout updates, player numbers, and other important info—check these regularly! You can access these team sites, by clicking on the "TEAM FINDER" above the ALLIANCE Logo, on the top, left of our website's main page and choosing the applicable team.

Step 4: Offers Sent by Email
Once tryouts are complete, offers will be sent by email to selected players. If your player receives an offer, follow the instructions in the email to accept.
β³ Note: You only have a short window to accept, so keep an eye on your inbox (and your junk folder just in case!).
Step 5: Register with the Team = Commitment
If your child receives an offer and you choose to accept, the link provided will direct you to the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR/Spordle) site (where you registered for tryouts and where you access seasonal registration).
π This step officially registers your child with the team and confirms their commitment for the season.
