Waterloo Wolves fans, we’re excited to introduce our *NEW* U15AAA coaching staff for the upcoming season!
This year, our bench will be led by a powerhouse team of Wolves alumni, accomplished hockey professionals and community builders, bringing elite-level experience, leadership, and a deep passion for the game.
🔥 Meet the Coaches:
🏒 Head Coach: Lukas Baleshta – A Waterloo Wolves U18AAA alumnus (2008-09 season), Lukas has an extensive playing and coaching background. His hockey journey includes time with NCAA Plattsburgh State and the GOJHL’s Elmira Sugar Kings, providing him with valuable experience in player development at multiple levels. Luke has many years of experience behind the bench, coaching at various levels and ages, including the U16AAA Wolves (2023-24 Season).
🏒 Assistant Coach: Tyler McBay – A Wolves player from 2009 to 2016, Tyler graduated from the Wolves U16AAA program before moving on to play in the GOJHL, NCAA, and BCHL, competing in some of North America’s top junior leagues. As a Coach, Tyler helped lead his Woolwich Wildcats to multiple OMHA Championships, topping it off with an OHF Championship at U15A in the 2023-24 Season.
🏒 Assistant Coach/General Manager: Gavin White – Currently the Head Coach of the U21 Wildcats team, Gavin is a 3-time OMHA Champion and a dedicated community builder, helping young athletes grow both on and off the ice. Gavin will bring his expertise to the bench, on the ice and will craft an unparalleled player experience from the ground up to provide a best in class, U15AAA experience for our Players and Families.
With a strong foundation of alumni leadership, championship experience, and professional hockey backgrounds, our U15AAA players will be guided by a Staff that knows what it takes to compete at the highest levels.
