Atom A Wolves are 2019 OHF Champions!!
Submitted By WMHA on Sun 04 14, 19
Congratulations to our Major Atom A Wolves who made WMHA hockey history today to become only the 3rd Wolves team to capture a provincial championship as they won the 2019 OHF Atom A Championship!

Congratulations also go out to our Midget AA and PeeWee A Wolves who took home the Silver at their respective OHF Championships.

Before today, only two (2) Waterloo Wolves teams had ever gone the distance to win an OHF Provincial Championship: the 1992-93 Midget AA team and the 2002-2003 Midget AAA team.  After today, you can add the 2018-19 Waterloo Wolves Major Atom A team to that list!

The Wolves went 3-1 in the Round Robin, defeating the Toronto Eagles 3-1, the Temiskaming Shores PuckHounds 4-3 and the Kapuskasing Icehawks 3-1.  The Wolves only loss in the opening frame came against the Owen Sound Jr Attack who downed the Wolves 5-4.

The Semi-Finals saw the Wolves take on and defeat the host Temiskaming Shores PuckHounds 5-0 to punch their ticket to the Finals in a re-match with Owen Sound.

The Wolves would not be denied their place in Waterloo hockey history, as they went on to defeat Owen Sound 2-1 and capture the 2019 Atom A OHF Championship.

CONGRATULATIONS WOLVES!!
