U16 BB Wolves Are Alliance Champs
On Sunday the Waterloo Wolves U16 BB became Alliance Hockey Champions beating the Hamilton Huskies 1-0.
After a season riddled with injuries and challenges these young men put it all together for the tournament going
2-0-1 in round robin play. After a 1-1 tie with Kitchener on night #1 of the tournament the Wolves went on to overcome what has been an insurmountable task for several years beating the ever powerful Hamilton Huskies 4-0 on night #2. In the final round robin game the Wolves took it to the Cambridge Hawks winning 5-2 putting them straight through to the final in the #1 spot.
The final game saw a rematch against the ever strong Huskies with the Wolves putting on a defensive show to hold the Huskies scoreless. Ben St. Pierre scored the lone goal to lead the Wolves to Victory with Jack Silver standing strong holding Hamilton dry in both matches with back to back shut outs. The coaching staff could not be more proud of this fine group of young men after watching them face heartbreak twice this season in one goal tournament championship losses throughout the season. We are thrilled to say that "we did it gentlemen" LET'S GO WOLVES!!!!!
