We will endeavor to post the information within 90 minutes following each ice time. We will also use the website to communicate pertinent tryout information. Please get in the habit of checking the website throughout the tryout process. Player names posted are those players who are invited to report to the next tryout time.

Final Roster Selections will be posted by 9:00 am on Friday October 1st. Those players whose names do not appear on the team roster that attended the final tryout on Sept 30 are welcome to contact the coach (after October 1st) to arrange a time to discuss feedback on their player from the tryout process if necessary.

IMPORTANT: Family vacations, causing a player to miss games and/or practices, should be discussed with the head coach prior to the completion of the second tryout.

TOURNAMENTS:

Oct.15-17 Cambridge Early Bird MD tournament

Nov.26-28 Burlington MD Challenge Cup

Jan. 7-9 Halton Hills Memorial Tournament

SELECTION CRITERIA:

We will select 17 (15 skaters and 2 goaltenders) players to round out our team. EVERY player starts on equal ground at these tryouts. Having previously played at a higher level does not give any one player an advantage over another. We want players who show a willingness to work and learn with solid fundamentals: skating, determination, cooperation, coachability, display hockey sense and a positive attitude who are respectful to one another.

We are looking for consistently hard-working players that are committed to the team and being an active part of a team culture. We want to foster a mutually respectful environment between coaches, players and families as we are all in this together!

All players will be required to sign and return their respective code of conduct agreement before being rostered to the team.

PLAYER POSITIONS:

Player positions may change throughout the year. Coaching staff will make these decisions based on the best interest of the team. A player's position in September may not be their position for the entire season. Some changes may be necessary due to injury or game situations. If this is an issue, then this may not be the team for you. We will not guarantee a player their favourite position. Our focus is to put together a skilled, balanced and fair team.
