After two morale boosting wins to start of the season against Georgetown, the Wolves fell to a very fast and skilled team from Cambridge on Saturday night!
The boys put forth a great effort after going down 0 – 1 quickly to Cambridge. Cambridge scored early in the first but the young Wolves were not going to go down without a fight. After falling behind 0 – 2, Josh got us back in the game with a great goal, with the assist being provided by Jaden. Cambridge countered restoring their 2 goal lead and we just couldn’t get the puck past a hot goaltender down the stretch.
Our defense settled in nicely after the first two goals given up and we were able to get back and knock Cambridge off the puck with regularity. With some better luck in the offensive zone, the outcome could have easily been reversed – it really was anybody’s game!
We’ll have an opportunity for revenge when we travel to Cambridge on December 18th.
