Two Great Games
The Novice Select Wolves had a jam packed weekend of hockey, and what a great weekend it was.
On Friday we went into Guelph and played our first game as a team. We battled hard all game, and ended up tied 1-1 against a strong Guelph squad.
Sunday marked our first home game of the year against Halton Hills. They proved to be just as much of a challenge. For the second game in a row, we batted to a 1-1 tie (which also included one of our goals being called back!!)
Both games saw exciting action at both ends of the rink. We had amazing goaltending in our games from both of our goalies, and our strong defencemen lead the way in keeping the puck out of our end. Luca T and Zack C netted our first goals of the year respectively, and we had many others that were so close to putting the puck in the net. It is great to see all the hard work that we have put in at practice starting to pay off.
Great games this weekend boys!! We are very proud of you. In two weeks, we travel to Cambridge. Looking forward to it.
