to go Team Black! We ended the
tournament with a 2-2 record after a semi-final loss
The coaching staff are proud of the effort and teamwork that we saw in the tournament. The teamwork and passing that we see from the team is among the best in the league.
We handed out the “Golden Jersey” to four different players during the tournament. The jersey was awarded when the player played above their normal level of play and contributed to the team in a special way. We saw a great work ethic for all the players but awarded the “Golden Jersey” to Xander, Nathan, Michael, and Tyler. Xander and Nathan both showed great hustle during our games and were able to take the puck hard to the other team’s net. We also saw some strong back-checking by both these boys. Tyler and Micheal also had strong games getting shots directed towards the net and being strong on the puck along the boards and deep in the other team’s zone. And it was good timing too since they also earned a chicken dinner at Swiss Chalet along with the jersey. Way to go boys!
