This week the “Golden Jersey” was awarded to Cade for his
incredible hustle up and down the ice and for getting the puck to the 'house' (that is the area around the net for those who don't get to hear our pre-game chats).
We are now at the point in the season where we start playing teams for a second time. This weekend we played the Blue team again. In our season opener they were able to beat us 5-2 but this time a much improved Black team was able to pull out a 6-3 win. I’ve heard from the boys and the parents that this game had the most passing that we have attempted this season. The passing really opened up the ice for the boys to get open and get shooting. Hopefully we can continue doing this as we approach the Christmas tournament.
Our “Golden Jersey” winner this week was Cade. He played all his shifts full of energy and was constantly ‘flying’ by the bench with the puck headed towards the Blue net. Lots of passing meant that he was involved in five of the goals this week. Nice work Cade!
