The after party and the Ice Wolves
After coming off a successful Silver stick qualifying tournament the team got back on the ice against the St. Catharines Hurricanes and Hamilton Tigers Jan 5-6 2013.
The Ice Wolves at home in Albert McCormick arena and a six day layoff after the Silver Stick Qualifier win....
Can you say Stanley Cup hangover...as the theory goes the team that wins the cup usually flounders and declines when the next season begins.
Would we see the after effects of the physical and emotional exertion of fighting to qualify for the Silver Stick Tournament of Champions.
The evidence was there. The team showed symptoms but were able to hold off the Hurricanes in a 5-3 win.

Game two of the weekend had the Ice Wolves travel to Hamilton to take on the Tigers
A nail biter til the final moments of the third period. Cooper S would score for the Ice Wolves to take a 1-0 lead. That would hold for the remainder of the game. Too close for comfort.
