The Comeback
The Ice Wolves took to the ice Sunday afternoon against the Brantford Saints.
This was the second meeting between the two teams, the first resulting in a 4-2 win for the Ice Wolves in Brantford.


The Saints came out strong taking a 2-0 lead on the Ice Wolves.
That score would hold for the first and second periods.
The third period saw the Ice Wolves ALMOST ready to play. They would cut the lead to 2-1, a two on none with Cooper S as the decoy and Jake G burying the shot past the goalie. Brantford would reply with two more goals taking the lead to 4-1.
At 4-1 the Ice Wolves were ready, Cooper S would score to cut the Saints lead to 4-2.
Shortly after a nice passing play from Jaxson S to Ty L onto Sam R who would put it past the goalie had the Ice Wolves within striking distance. The team was energized.
Sam R would score his second to knot the game at 4-4. Jake G with his second of the game would put the team up 5-4.
The Ice Wolves would kill off a penalty toward the end of the game and hold on to the 5-4 win.
Great effort team. What a comeback from a 4-1 deficit. Shots were 21-19 for the Saints.
