In a game with a scary start, the Wolves tied Burlington 4 - 4 in a hard fought battle.
Burlington jumped into the lead in under 2 minutes and had the Wolves scrambling for the first half of the period.
With the Bullfrogs (opps, sorry, Bulldogs) all over the Wolves and then the Wolves taking a penalty, the fans were thinking of an early exit. (ban you say "Leafs")
But, Matt cleared the puck into the Bullfrog (Opps dog) zone and then chased down the rebound off the back boards and slammed it into the net for a shorthanded goal to tie the game.
The Wolves came storming back with Matt adding a second goal and almost getting his hat-trick.
3 unanswered goals by the Wolves put them ahead 3 -1 before the Frogs came back to tie and then pull ahead 4-3.
Bearing down again, the Wolves managed to tie the game 4-4 before a last minute goal crease melee ended with several players ejected (Coach Brad included) and the Wolves with a 5 - 3 advantage for the last 19 seconds.
Unable to capitalize, the game ended in a 4 -4 tie.
