Changes to the League Format for this season *IMPORTANT*

There are several changes to the format of the league this year. Here is what you need to know:

1) This year will be at U11 not split up between U10/U11 like it was last year. We will be participating in a newly formed league which includes Waterloo, Kitchener, and Cambridge and  is called “Tri-Cities Hockey League (TCHL)*”

2) There will be 4 Waterloo Teams participating in U11 Games will be played in rinks across the region in Kitchener and Cambridge, not just in Waterloo with varying time slots. There may be instances where games will be played outside of the regular weekend hours depending on ice time availability in the region.

3) The TCHL schedule is set to be released on or around September 22, 2023.  What is currently posted on the WMHA website will in fact be changing.

Coaches and Volunteers are Needed

We are currently short on Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Trainers for this upcoming season,  It is a very rewarding way to help Hockey Development and the youth in your community. If you can and are willing to help out as a coach please let me know asap at ( Scott Hache: [email protected] )

Player Evaluations

In preparation for the upcoming season, we will be holding player evaluations on Saturday, September 23rd and Sunday, September 24th.

These evaluations help us create balanced and competitive teams, ensuring that every player has an enjoyable and fulfilling hockey experience. More detailed information about the evaluation schedule, location, and other relevant details will be emailed to you closer to the evaluation dates. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in making this process as smooth as possible.

Stay Connected: Communication is key to a successful hockey season, and we will be sending out regular updates, announcements, and important information via email and our league website. Please keep an eye on your inbox for these updates, as they will be instrumental in keeping you informed about practices, games, events, and any changes to the schedule. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to our team at [email protected]

We are here to support you and your young athletes throughout the season.

Let's make this a season to remember!
