Opening Weekend and player evaluations will be September 23rd and 24th. We currently have around 56 players registered and will be splitting the players into 1 or 2 groups for evaluation. As of right now Group 1 will be players with last names starting with A thru to L and Group 2 will be M thru to Z.
For the parents with players last
names starting with L, please note your kids may be moved to Group 2 depending
on the final list of players. Sorry for
the inconvenience, but I’m trying to keep the group sizes as even as possible.
For
the parents with players registered as goalies. Please let me know if you
need gear. Also, I would like to know if your child is looking to be a
part time goalie (i.e. 50%) or full time (80-100%).
WE NEED COACHES AND TRAINERS. I know we have a very active and positive
group of parents based on all the help I saw last year. We will need new Head Coaches, Trainers, and
helpers this year. We have lost most our
coaches from last year due to kids moving up to Rep or they are coaching
another child. If you are interested and
can help, please let me know. I will prioritize
pairing coaches and their players on the same team, so if you are buddies with
your kids’ buddies’ parents, coaching together is a fun way to spend the year.
If you want to Coach, but are unsure of
how to pick and run drills, myself and some of the other experienced coaches
will be available to help. So don’t let
that hold you up.
Lastly, U10 is still looking for a
Convenor. I am assisting with the role to get the season started,
but if you are interested, please check out the WMHA website. As with coaching I will be available to help
with this role to.
