Welcome and welcome back for any players returning! I would like to introduce myself. My name is Amy and I am the Convener of U9 Initiation Hockey with WMHA.
We are looking forward to an exciting year for U9 Initiation Hockey!
If you have not already taken a look, the schedule has been posted on the
League Calendar. For those of you who were with us for U8, this year will look very different. We are playing the first half of the season consistently at two arena's with practices on Saturday and inter-league games on Sundays.
Starting in January we will begin our Tri-City league with Kitchener and Cambridge. More details to come!
Save the date for January 4th as our U9 players will participate in the Kitchener Ranger's Intermission Mini-Game!

Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Trainers NEEDED!
At this time we are looking to staff 4 teams for U9. I know many parent's are waiting to see if their players make upper level teams, but if you are interested in helping in any capacity, whether you can commit now or commit after tryouts, please email me at
[email protected]. It would be great if we had tentative or committed staff for some or all of our teams as soon as possible!
Select team support is also needed (trainers, assistant coaches etc.) so I will gladly take names if you are interested and pass them along to the Head Coach.
Parents, please make sure all your information is up to date with the league and that you have done your respect in sport for parents training. We do run into issues with tournaments if this is not complete so it would be great if U9 had all the boxes checked at the start of the season.

On Ice Evaluations coming up and Evaluators are NEEDED!
U9 on ice evaluations will be held on September 30th and October 1st.

On Ice Evaluators - Valid Police Check required (VSC)
Off Ice Evaluators
