Peewee Pillers Win Bob Black Memorial Tournament!
The Waterloo Major Peewee Piller’s team travelled up the 401 to play in the Bob Black Memorial Tournament in Oshawa on February 17th , bringing home the Championship and hardware.

The boys' first game was against the Orleans Vipers which Waterloo won 3 to 1.

Our Saturday morning game was against the SE express which although we tied 2 to 2, out shooting the opposing team 22 to 9. Danny Church scored his first goal of the season against the Express to put Waterloo into the lead ; we are still trying to wipe the smile off his face.

Our 3rd game was against the Bracebridge Bears. Aiden Thomson led the way between the pipes shutting out the Bears 4 to 0. This lead us to the Championship finals against the Nepean Black Aces.  Waterloo led 5 to 0 going into the 3rd with the Bears getting a couple of quick ones in the 3rd, but Piller’s efforts proved to be too much for the Bears with Waterloo winning 5 to 2 to take the Championship.

The guys skated hard both ways head manning the puck and closing down the neutral zone.   They represented WMHA extremely well with their behaviour and sportsmanship both on and off the ice.

Well Done Guys
  Coach Mike.
