Wolves get a win in Steeltown!
The Novice Select Wolves rolled into Hamilton for a late Afternoon game
against Chedoke Express....
Sam M. got the ball rolling with two goals in the first period, followed by a breakaway goal from Callum T. Joshua C. kicked out everything that came his way, including one big stop to keep Chedoke scoreless. In the second period, the wolves would slow down a bit, eventually allowing a goal. The fire was re-lit in the third period with Alec L. putting himself in great position for a rebound, and when one came his way, he made no mistake about it and buried it in the back of the net. Gavin A. added one more to give the Wolves a 5-1 win. Chedoke was not without solid chances in the second half of the game, but Deio G. came up with his biggest stops of the season to keep the Wolves ahead. Deio was awarded the player of the game for his efforts.
The wolves continue their road trip next Sunday with a morning matchup against the St. Thomas Stars.
