After a lengthy losing streak, the Waterloo Wolves appear to be back on track with consecutive wins over Brantford and Cambridge in league play. The team then had a good showing in the Great Lakes Cup in Stratford this past weekend. The Wolves won three games and tied one game in round robin, which placed them in first place in their pool. However, they lost to a hungry Guelph team in the semis.The team is in the home stretch of league play. They prepare this week for upcoming games against Huron Perth, followed by Kitchener and Elgin the week after. Work hard, stay focused and play hard in the upcoming games. Good luck to the Wolves!

This past weekend, the Minor Peewee Wolves travelled to
Chicago and played in the Bauer World Hockey Invitational tournament. The team rode in style by team bus to
Naperville Illinois, just outside of Chicago.
Games started on Friday: the
Wolves defeated Leafs HC 2-1 but lost to Cleveland 5-2. Needing a victory on Saturday, the Wolves
defeated Saginaw 2-1. This qualified the
team for the championship round. Later
that day, the Wolves began an impressive run with a 6-1 victory over the Long
Island Royals.

The Minor Peewee Wolves competed this past weekend in the Tim Horton’s International Tournament, hosted in Hamilton. The Wolves knew this would be a tough tournament and worked hard preparing for battle. After four games they won one, tied one and lost two and did not qualifying for Monday’s play. However, the games played will make them tougher for league play. The team walked away knowing they can compete with any team, but also realized that there are areas for growth and improvement. This upcoming weekend’s schedule includes two road league games against Cambridge and Huron Perth. Good luck Wolves!
