Detroit Weekend
This past weekend, the Waterloo Wolves travelled to Detroit to compete in the Compuware Honeybaked AAA Invitational, the first tournament of the season. The team went two and one during round robin play defeating Belle Tire and the Tri State Spartans, while losing to the Whitby Wildcats. Seeded second in their division, the Wolves lost to the Chicago Fury in the gold division quarter finals. It was a solid tournament for the team.
The Wolves took in a Detroit Tigers game Friday night and cheered on the home town favourite as they defeated the American League leading Kansas City Royals. It was a great night out for the players and parents. It’s back to practice this week as the Wolves prepare for next weekend’s “west coast swing” for games against Sun County, Windsor and Chatham-Kent.
