Wolves Advance After Weekend of Thrilling Action
Congratulations to the players and coaches on a great weekend. With their backs to the wall and needing 2 wins on the final weekend to advance to the next round.  Hard work and perseverance paid off.

1st up was the Hamilton Huskies, with their surprise goalie in net.  Matthew who had been out since September made his 1st start of the season. Matthew has overcome a lot this season and it was great to see him back in action. Great to see you back Matthew.
However with their backs to the wall the Wolves pulled out a much needed victory over the Huskies winning by a final of 6-3.  This gave the Wolves a chance to move on IF they could knock of the Huron Perth Lakers.
On Sunday the Wolves hosted the Lakers, for our most exciting game of the season. It was a back & forth battle threw 3 periods with Huron tying the score with 17 seconds left in the 3rd period on a power play goal.  In overtime the Wolves never backed down and kept the pressure on as Huron scrambled to get it out of their end, they took a penalty. With the Wolves goalie pulled and a 6 on 4 advantage, the Wolves put the puck behind a stunned Lakers goalie for 4-3 overtime win to advance to the next round.
Congratulations to all the players and coaches on a great game!!!
Now off to Lambton for a 6 points series with the Sting.

Go Wolves Go!!!
