Wolves Kick-Off Exhibition Schedule
The Minor Atom’s took to the ice for the first time tonight with a full team to kick off the short 3 game exhibition season.
The Wolves jumped out to an early 2-0 lead with goals from Lucas P. and a breakaway goal by Zack F. and would finish the first period up 2-0. This period saw strong goal-tending from Ty B. and good play by the defense to stop the toe dragging Laker rushes.
In the 2nd period, the Lakers pushed back and tied the game 2-2. The Wolves jumped out to a 3-2 lead with Lucas P’s second goal of the night only to have the Lakers bounce back to tie it 3-3 and then take a 4-3 lead. Ethan M. tied the game 4-4. Lakers then took a two goal lead late into the 3rd period before Zack F. would pot his 2nd goal of the game to pull within 1 and that’s how it ended.
The coaches saw many positives and look forward to the season ahead.
