Happy New Year Novice Red families!

What a busy hockey holiday season it has been for our boys!  With an awesome Christmas party and a few practices before ‘the big day’ and then the Hespeler tournament and St. Catharines game after, the boys have a lot to celebrate.

First off, what a great effort at the Hespeler tourney.  With more boys playing in new positions, it was a chance to try out new skills and line mates.  We had a great opening game to win 5-2 against Erie and continued that momentum to easily beat Milton and Grimsby.  After a nail-biting 2-1 win over Hespeler to get to the final, the challenging Clarington Toros made us work hard.  They beat us in the round-robin and though the boys wanted a win, the Toros proved too tough to beat.  Though it didn’t end as our boys had wanted, we did bring home our first set of hardware as finalists in our division.

After a great game against St. Catharines today, we now move into the final set of 16 games in our division.  It has been an awesome first half of the season and we look forward to more great hockey in 2016!

We will see you all at Wolf Pack on Monday at 5pm at RIM (Lions) and for a practice on Friday evening at 5:30 at McCormick.  You’ve then got the weekend off as we look forward to the Preston tournament, Jan 14-16.

Go Wolves!
