This Week in Novice Red Hockey
It
has been nothing but good news since our last update! Our boys are on a
very impressive 6 game winning streak and have now secured a spot in the final four playoff round, currently sitting in 2nd spot! What an incredible effort they
have put forward.
Winning against the seemingly-unstoppable first-place Brantford was huge but every win counts and every game takes a team effort. Three cheers for milkshake's at Mel's Diner!
Our two awesome goalies have been a big part of our success but so has every member of the team (including the coaches!) Our offence has been amazing at scoring goals, getting pucks to the net to create rebound chances, scoring on rebounds, playing hard on the boards and making good passes. Our D guys have kept the puck out, chased down the opposing team, kept the puck inside the blue line and passed the puck up to the O. It takes a whole team to win and our boys have been amazing at working together. Let's hope they can keep up the energy and enthusiasm.
With only two games left in the round robin playoffs, we are looking forward to a fun weekend with a special surprise in store for the boys! Saturday at 5:00pm we have a re-match against Cambridge White on their turf at Dickson and Sunday we will be in St. Catharines at 1pm for our last play off game and some team fun!
