This Week in Novice Red Hockey
"It has been a while since our last Novice Red update! Did you know our boys have now played 37 games this season (including tournament games)! Well into the playoff round, there are just 10 playoff games left before the top teams will be decided.
After a challenging Preston tournament in mid-January, the boys have continued to work to improve their game. It will be a battle to finish in the top four but if the work ethic continues, it can be done! One kid’s take-away from last night’s Wolfpack hockey practice? Skate with your head up!!
This past weekend we had another tough game in Brantford against the 99ers at the Gretzky Centre. That 7-0 loss didn’t discourage the boys too much as they came back to a big and important 6-1 win against Woodstock to keep us in the top half of the standings.
With a solid Wolfpack practice last night and another early morning practice scheduled for this Friday at 6:30am (AMC), the boys will be ready to battle the Navy Jets again, this time in Woodstock on Saturday at noon.
We will celebrate Valentine’s Day with a game against Stratford at home (AMC @ 1:45pm). The parents and kids can't say enough thank you's to the coaching staff for their commitment, dedication, energy and guidance for the boys. Dave, Chad, Bruce, Dave, Alex, Ben...you've all been awesome! Go Wolves Go!
