Congratulations to Minor Atom A/AA goalies Mitch Simmons and
Timothy Chafe for having the 2nd best Goals against Average ratings,
putting them as the 1st runners up in competition for the John Yosurack
Memorial Trophy. This award is presented annually to the Rep goalies with the
lowest goals against average from Minor Atom to Major Peewee.
Mitch and Timothy have been fantastic competitors this season with both having some absolutely stand-out games. Both players are the epitome of superb teammates as they are the first on the ice to hug and congratulate one another after a game. They really are a dynamic duo.

Both Mitch and Timothy were quick to point out that hockey is a team game and this is a team award. Our blue-line warriors have played hard in front of the goalies this year. A big thank you to our hard working defensemen who contributed to keeping the pucks out of the net. A job well done to: Zach Carter & Braedon Rozema, Zach Arnold & Josh Dierickse, Galin Moir & Dieter Whittingham and an honorable mention to Colby Eamer who has spent time at defense over the last part of the season and battled hard on the blue line.
Let us not forget the forwards, who also share in this award. Don't forget that every back check, challenge and/or puck steal you did over the season contributed to the team defense and in turn to the goalies achieving such a great goals against average.
A special thank you to our goalie coaches Tasha Lyons and Andrew Fenton for all their time, enthusiasm and expertise.
Let's keep up this team commitment to defense and keep the puck out of the net as we enter into the playoffs.
