Schlueter Hyundai vs. Skills Plus Hockey
On Friday Schlueter Hyundai (7-0-4) started off a busy weekend against Skills Plus Hockey (5-5-2).
The game started off at a quick pace with very few whistles, however neither team was able to find the back of the net during the first period.
Things would change in the second period as the line of Duquette, Davis, and J. DeMers began their offensive attack. Each of the line mates would score one goal a piece, two in the second and one in the third, to give Schlueter a three goal lead.
Late in the third period Dietrich, Noble and Brookes were able to put the game away. The line put in a hard working shift before battling to score a tough empty net goal.
That would be all the defense pairings of Garland and Steffler along with Domaratzki and Jones would need as they were able minimize Skills Plus quality scoring opportunities. The solid defensive effort helped hold a talented Skills Plus team to 0 goals on the night.
The line of Horvath, Wigmore-Lopez, and Anderson also had a strong game. Along with their usual strong offensive effort they also made many key defensive plays and strong back checks.
C. DeMers played in goal recording his third shutout of the year.
