Oktoberfest Tournament Champs!
The Major Atom AAA team took home the cup tonight after an exciting weekend of hockey.
They went 3-0-1 in the round robin to earn first place in the B pool.
In the semi-final game vs Clarington Toros, Ethan McPhee #10 scored a penalty shot with 44 seconds remaining to secure a 2-1 victory and a spot in the final game.
In the finals the Wolves matched up against the undefeated Halton Hurricanes who were 5-0 in the tournament. The Wolves jumped out ahead to a 3-0 lead and hung on for a 4-2 victory.
The team had strong contributions from all of the players throughout the weekend.
Wyatt Marks #22 was named MVP of the championship game.
