U12 AAA Finishes Strong at Peterborough Icefest

The Waterloo Wolves U12 AAA had a strong finish to the weekend at the Peterborough Icefest Tournament.  

Starting off to some stiff competition including the Quinte Red Devils and Halton Hurricanes had the team 1-3 in the round robin but an opportunity to go for the consolation final.  Sunday morning the team outscored Huron Perth 6-3 and then went on to face the Whitby Wildcats in the final.  

Waterloo came from behind to tie the game 3-3 in the third period.  The game went into triple overtime and one on one hockey where an opportunity by Waterloo ended with a goal 0:05 seconds left in the period!  Way to go Wolves!

Halton Hurricanes outscored Quinte Red Devils 6-5 in the Championship final.

    The U12AAA Waterloo Wolves will be collecting monetary donations and non-perishable food items in support of The Food Bank of Waterloo before their home game on Sunday, December 11th at the Waterloo Memorial Rec Complex (game time is 4pm).
