Wolves Keep Pushing Forward
It was an important win for the Waterloo Wolves U16 AA team. It was a third straight win and a win that put them back on the top of the standings. A 5 to 3 victory over the Brantford 99ers team that plays hard for the entire game.

Declan Uniac has been on fire and added another two-goal game to make it back-to-back two goal outings. His first goal was set up from Cole Hunsberger and Jackson McNichol and his second was from Hunsberger and Matthew Ball. Both Hunsberger and Ball added goals of their own. Hunsberger scored from Ethan Wasylyshyn and ball from Uniac and Hunsberger. Wasylyshyn also scored from Ball on a great shot in the second period.

Nate Sexton earned the win for the Wolves and was an intimidating presence in the Wolves net. When Driscoll comes out to challenge his large frame covers a lot of the net and his ability to move side to side frustrated the 99ers.

The game was held at the Waterloo Rec Centre and the team knew its speed would be important. Griffin Beddis centered a line with Cole Ledgister and Tim Hodson and the trio were flying out there and created a lot of scoring opportunities but also drew penalties and back checked very well.

In the third period the Wolves took a few calls they typically do not take but the penalty kills of Jackson Andrews and Michael Wei allowed them to not give the 99ers too much hope in the game.

Once again, the Wolves defenders all stepped up with Cooper Gaul and Riley Webster dishing out some hard hits. Jaxon Broda rushed the puck well all game and Ben Yonge and Jackson Dietz got pucks deep and helped the team hem the 99ers in their own end.

Next up the Wolves will face the Cambridge Hawks again and look to take both games in the season and remain on top of the standings.
