Pickering AA Tournament Champs, News, Minor Peewee, 2019-2020, AA / A (Waterloo Minor Hockey)

This past weekend the Waterloo Wolves travelled to Pickering for the Bring Your AA Game tournament.


The boys started off Friday with a game against the hosts. . . the Pickering Panthers. The boys played well against a good passing team, winning 2-0.  The second game against the Cumberland Jr. Grads proved to be more of a challenge. The Wolves lost this one 3-1.

Saturday was another challenging day. It started off with a win against the Nickel City Jr Sons (3-0) followed by a 1-1 tie against the Gloucester Rangers. This earned the Wolves a spot in the semifinals Sunday against the tournament leaders, the Upper Ottawa Valley Aces. They boys battled hard, winning 3-2 and moving onto the finals; a rematch against the Rangers.
 
The finals had two great teams facing off. The game was tied 0-0 going into the third. The Wolves grit and never give up attitude prevailed, earning them the title of tournament champions with a 2-0 win.
