October Saves Goalie Challenge
Xavier Moyes and Jake Howard, goalies for the 2019-2020 Waterloo Wolves Minor Peewee AA/A team, are proud to announce that they will be participating in the October Saves Goalie Challenge this year!

October Saves calls on any goalie -- youth, amateur or professional -- to raise the most money through gathering pledges per save they make in the month of October. With over 80,000 saves logged over the past 5 years, this annual event has raised $515,000. This is the second year that the event is being run in Canada, with funds going to support pediatric cancer research at CHEO and Princess Margaret hospitals.

Xavier is a two-time winner, and Jake a one-time winner of the John Yosurak Memorial Trophy, presented annually to the Waterloo Rep goalies with the lowest goals against average from Novice to Peewee. John Yosurak was a goalie who played for Waterloo Minor Hockey, and passed away from cancer at the age of 13. Our boys are happy to have this opportunity to continue to honour his memory.

Pledges or flat donations can be made to either of our goalies by visiting:

Use the Find a Goalie link to search for either Jake Howard or Xavier Moyes.  We will count and submit the boys' saves for the month of October, and ask that all pledges please be in by the November 8, 2019 deadline.  (Receipts will be issued by October Saves for all qualifying donations).  Thank you all in advance for supporting our boys and this great cause!

Sincerely,

Jake Howard, Xavier Moyes and the Waterloo Wolves Minor Peewee AA/A team
