Wolves lose a tough one in home opener
Kitchener 2 Waterloo 1
The wolves seemed to come out a little intimidated by their cross town rivals the Jr Kitchener Rangers.
Kitchener opened the scoring in the first period on a defensive turn over in waterloo's zone to make it 1-0
Kitchener started the second period with a lot of zone pressure but C.Wiens came up with save after save to keep the game close for his Waterloo teammates.
Third period and Kitchener went up 2-0 but the wolves didn't give up they got on the board with A.Lavallee's first goal of the year and a big one at that to make it 2-1
Unfortunately despite the efforts the game ended 2-1
It was a tough loss but it will make the boys understand that they need to follow the game plan and work harder to accomplish victory, it's a process and we will be ready the next time we face off against the Rangers.
Other game notables
M.George played his first game as a wolf, great job.
B.Lovallo got a point with an assist on Waterloo's only goal.
T.Rutherford played a solid game on Defense.
Special thanks to The music man for supplying the tunes !!
