Wolves start off 2017 on the right foot
Wolves win a close one in Halton Hills 2-1 and are the winners of 3 in a row.

The atmosphere in the Mold Masters Sportsplex last night (like the boys said after the game) felt like a real NHL game with music in between whistles and the fans loud and electric.

The boys knew they had a tough challenge facing another mixed minor/major peewee team and even after going down 1-0 near the end of the first period they Wolves never gave up.
They got on the board with a hard forecheck by S.Bissonnette and a even better retrieve by O.Diplock who then got the puck out front and S.Disbrow banged away a lose puck to tie it 1-1.
The Thunder and the Wolves were in a battle as the game carried on, the refs were letting the boys play in a very "chippy" game.
C.Tiegs made it 2-1 late in the second period on a very nice dangle just inside the blueline to shake a couple Thunder players before walking into the high slot and sniping it top shelf over the goalies glove.

Third period Halton Hills Thunder wanted that equalizer but Waterloo stayed tough and behind some great goaltending by J.Chagnon the game ended 2-1 for the Wolves.

Great game boys! We are starting to play as a team, and understanding our roles as a player for the team.
