September 26 vs Kitchener AA
Still riding high from Sunday’s win and showing great control and confidence, the Wolves began their game on Monday night on the Piller’s rink at RIM Park.

It didn’t take long for the Wolves to make it a quick 1-0 for Waterloo, and the rest of the Wolves were looking strong: digging hard and putting shots on net. Kitchener put on more pressure in the last minutes of the first and the Wolves held strong, including the Wolves D hustling hard and the goalie making some huge stops to save the day!

The second period opened with the Wolves leading 1-0. The Wolves went on a four-minute penalty kill after a head contact call and Kitchener took this chance to even things up at 12:03. At 10:33, the Rangers went ahead 2-1. The Wolves seemed fired up after these goals, but despite their best efforts, the second period ended 3-1 Kitchener.

The Kitchener/Waterloo rivalry was alive and well and the game became more and more physical, giving the trainers quite the workout (Thank you, Ryan and Trish!). The Rangers netted another at 11:26 in the third and try as they might, the Wolves couldn’t catch a break. They shot hard, they hit posts and crossbars, and the goalie made an unbelievable breakaway save, but the boys just couldn’t cross that goal line. The final score was 4-1, but Wolves fans are sure that there will be a much different result the next time we meet.

Special thank you to our AP for hanging in there with the boys!
