Minor Midget, 2013-2014, Select (Waterloo Minor Hockey)

Our boys showed poise and determination by overcoming a two goal deficit in the tournament championship on Sunday. We rallied together and scored four unanswered goals to defeat Coronation 6-4 in a fast paced, physical game. Great job team. Thanks for the great season as we managed 23 wins, 4 losses and two ties. We made it to the final game in all three tournaments and won two out of three of them. Thanks for all your hard work boys it was my pleasure to be your coach!

The team played exceptionally well this weekend after our first game. After suffering a 5-3 loss to Stoney Creek we defeated Vaughan 6-1 and then hammered Stoney Creek 7-0 in our rematch. We outlasted Chedoke 2-1 in a very well played hockey game by both teams. We outshot them 26-24 and our goalie Carter Habel played his best game of the season to shut them down in the third period and protect our one goal lead. Great job guys, enjoy your championship rings!!
