Black / White annual 3 on 3
The 1st annual Black / White 3 on 3 game went down to the wire as Team Black narrowly defeated Team White 13-12.
From the drop of the puck to the sweet "how-you-doing-now" tap by Ritter on Fenton, the game was intense, as both teams wanted the bragging rights of singing the "Wata, Wata, Wata" song to the other team. The game saw plenty of goals, some sweet passing, lots of toe drags and some out-right jaw dropping saves (Jansens glove save was pure robbery and Bosomworths back to back pad saves were a highlight reel in itself). Team Black started the game off with a quick goal, but that did not stop Team White from pumping in 3 quick goals to take the lead. White keep the goals coming until the only penalty was called (much to the dislike of Olsen and Fenton who felt a penalty should've been called on Ritter tap and made sure the ref was aware of his lack of calls on the drive home after the game) giving Younger a chance to narrow Whites lead, but Jansen stood tall and shut the big fella down. This only got Black more motivated and they finally got their mojo going as they tied the game up with 2 minutes to go and then 1 minute later, took the lead for good and as the Zamboni hit the ice, Team Black was getting their singing voices ready.
