That's the way the puck bouces..
The Waterloo Ice Wolves started their Tier 1 Play-offs with a 3-2 loss in Burlington. Waterloo started out strong as Ben Tomka passed to Cole Schirrmacher, who skated down the boards and nailed his shot top shelf just minutes into the game to give the Ice Wolves a 1-0 lead going into the 2nd period.
Burlington answered quickly in the 2nd with 2 quick goals until Cameron Young let a shot go just past the Blue Line to even the game going into the 3rd. Ben Tomka earned his 2nd assist in the game on Youngers goal. The game went back and forth in the final period until Burlington intercepted a pass inside the Blue Line and the shot hit the crossbar, then the shoulder of goalie Zack Jansen and found it's way onto a waiting Burlington player who batted it in the take the lead. Waterloo fought hard to even the score, but it was not to be in this game. Waterloo will now focus on their next game as they play host to the Hamilton Cyclones next week. Wata, Wata, Wata...loo, loo, loo!
