Semi-Finals Sweep: Bring it on Kitchener!
After going 12-0 with 6 shutouts in play-off round-robin, Novice Ice Wolves continued to blanket opponents with stifling team defense and play-off goaltending from Brayden Shomphe, allowing only one goal in the semi-final series sweep of Cambridge.   Particularly the second game, where Cambridge gave it their all trying to stave off elimination, only to be robbed by a couple of incredible saves by Brayden near the end of the third period.

Game one of the series saw the Ice Wolves grab a 4-1 victory with a strong edge in play throughout.    Goals to Callahan Reesor plus an assist, Kyle Maloney, Sam Van Wyck and Sam Rintche.  Assists to Cooper Way, Jake Anderson, and Ethan Hepditch.

Game two was a tighter affair, with the Ice Wolves coming out of the gate hard but stymied by some strong Cambridge goaltending early on to keep it close.  Goals scored by Kyle Maloney and Ryan McGeown.  Assists to Michael Rintche, Jacob Ehrhardt and Kyle Maloney.  Hats off to Cambridge for working hard and giving us a good battle, possibly the hardest any team in our loop has played us in a few months.  Ice Wolves had to work for it...
