Ice Wolves Are Alliance East / Central Champs!
After 5 fairly dominating periods, including a 4-1 victory in the first game of the series, and going up comfortably 3-0 late in the second period of game 2, the Ice Wolves apparently thought it would be fun to see how many of their fans had coronary issues....  Kitchener Rangers played desperation hockey, brought the score back to 3-2, setting up a pretty wild finish right to the final buzzer.  Waterloo Ice Wolves would not be denied on this day though, as they held on to win the Alliance East / Central Championship.

The two teams now move on to the Alliance Cup in Stratford along with a pair of London-based teams in the west.  Kitchener did well to serve notice that it won't be an easy weekend.

In the first game 4-1 victory, Ice Wolves outshot their opponents 18-6.  Ice Wolves scoring was lead by Kyle Maloney with the big hat trick on his birthday, with line mates Ryan McGeown picking up two assists and Michael Rintche with one.   Cooper Way closed out the scoring.

In the final game 3-2 victory, Waterloo goals were scored by Cooper Way, Sam Van Wyck and Kyle Maloney.  Assists to Ryan McGeown, Sam Rintche and Michael Rintche.   As usual, Brayden Shomphe held the fort in net when it needed to be held.
