Ice Wolves v. Cambridge: A Whole New Third Period
With another of those notoriously slow starts, Ice Wolves found themselves down 1-0 early. Brayden Shomphe held the fort through the early rough patches, as Cambridge has now accounted for 3 of the 8 goals against us in the entire 12 game playoff round-robin. They have shown some great improvement over the year and we better not take them lightly in the next round boys!
Third period showed some great work ethic and Ice Wolves passing, and Ice Wolves came back to win it 4-1. Ryan McGeown and Kyle Maloney started it off with a nifty passing play finished by Micheal Rintche going hard for the net. Cooper Way had 2 nice solo rush goals and an assist, and Ryan Hanson finished off the scoring with his typical drive to the net.
