Waterloo Wolves Fun Festival – Rules
- H.C., OHF and ALLIANCE hockey rules will apply.
- Teams MUST present an approved team roster or final five (5) game sheets one (1) hour prior to the first game as well as a travel permit/permission from the home association to attend.
- No player may participate on more than one team.
- Affiliated players must be called up from a younger division.
- The tournament committee will designate home teams.
- Home teams will wear light colour jersey. If a conflict arises regarding jersey colours, the HOME team will change jerseys. (WMHA will loan jerseys to the team.)
- Dressing rooms must be vacated within 30 minutes after the completion of a game.
- Teams must be ready to play up to 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
- All games will be 10-10-10.
- No overtime.
- Ice will be resurfaced after each game.
- NO Body checking at any level.
- Any player receiving a match penalty is not allowed any further participation in the tournament.
- No time outs are permitted.
- The Tournament Committee will strive to avoid having teams play one another more than once during the tournament. Similarly, the Committee will try to avoid Championship match-ups involving teams from the same association.
- If tied, championship games will be determined by shootout. The shootout will be sudden victory and players from each team will shoot simultaneously. The first team to score in an equal number of shots will be declared the winner. No player may shoot twice until all players, excluding goalies, have participated in the shootout.
- A mercy rule is in effect for all games including round robin and Championship games. If the goal differential is seven goals at any time during the second period or five goals at any time during the third period, the clock shall revert to running time. If subsequently the margin is reduced to less than seven goals or five goals respectively, the clock will not revert back to stop time. During running time, penalty lengths will be 3:00 minutes for a minor and 7:30 minutes for a major.
